This Marmora homeowner had purchased the home in the summer of 2020. At that time, the crawl space had been dripping water, especially when either the air-conditioner or heater is on. This had caused the space to be extremely moist and humid. The problem had caused the rest of the house to become wet and humid as well. A potent odor was present in the home, too.
Our team encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace vapor barriers, working around appliances. The crawl space is now dry all of the time, and the home no longer has to suffer from humidity issues.
This homeowner was unsure what was going on in his crawl space. He had expressed it was damp and dirty, so we had one of our system designers go out to the property and get to the bottom of what the space needed. Our team concluded that a vapor barrier should be put up to prevent moisture, and our SilverGlo insulation was needed because the current fiberglass insulation was torn and falling down.
Our production team cleared out and leveled the dirt in the crawl space to ensure the space is as usable and clean as possible. We laid out the vapor barrier, and lined the walls with our SilverGlo insulation.
To prevent water leakage and overall moisture in this Marmora crawl space, our team had encapsulated the entire space by lining the floors with our CleanSpace vapor barriers and the walls with our SilverGlo insulation. We had also installed a Sedona SaniDry Dehumidifer to regulate the area's humidity, preventing mold and moisture.
