Margaret C. found mold growing in her crawl space after Hurricane Sandy flooded her home in Dorchester, NJ. Her brother Frank referred her to Dry guys after we saved his crawl space from the same problem. Knowing that we have AMR Certified Mold Remediation Professionals on staff, she gave us a call.
Our System Designer John Mealey came out to take a look. He helped Margaret understand why she needed her crawl space encapsulated, and she chose our CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation system to act as a vapor barrier for her crawl space. She also saw the value in the SaniDry Air System which even changed the quality of the air upstairs while discouraging any future mold growth. The mold was removed, and an EverLast Crawl Space Door was put in for easy access as well as SmartVents to equalize water pressure on the foundation in the event of a flood.
Now that Margaret no longer has to worry about her basement, she enjoys the extra storage space that her clean, dry and healthy crawl space provides. Thanks, Dry Guys!
Mary A. had some serious problems in her crawl space. She thought she'd be safe with her existing sump pump, but it had been installed improperly, resulting in heavy amounts of water in her crawl space whenever it rained. Then the water would just sit there, causing damage to the structure, mold, and a musty smell in her house. Mary knew that if she didn't do something about it soon, the mold and wood rot would get way out of control. When she found Dry Guys, she knew they could tackle her problem.
System Designer John Mealey was the perfect man for the job. He introduced Mary to our patented CleanSpace Encapsulation System, which locks out moisture and protects the foundation from further water damage. Also, the old, worthless sump pump was replaced by our much more efficient SuperSump. Lastly, a SaniDry Air System was installed to get rid of that musty smell and improve the air quality of the entire home.
Thanks to Dry Guys, Mary no longer worries about the long-term effects of water in her crawl space. She rests easy knowing she is in good hands and, should any problems arise in the future, she knows we're there for her!
James and Rebecca H. didn't like how their floors were uneven and bouncy. Not only did it look bad, but it was a sign of a potentially dangerous foundation issue. The old joke about not losing your marbles in an old house because they just rolled to one side, just wasn’t funny anymore.

They were soon met by Dry Guys owner, Dan Gattuso. Dan knew that the solution to Joe and Lisa's problem was a WaterGuard perimeter system and a TripleSafe sump pump. These two systems work together efficiently to catch the water before it can sit in the basement, and send it right back outside. Water pooled on the basement floor, and the constant moisture was causing mold to grow in the floor joists. BettyAnn and George H. watched helplessly as their existing sump pump just sat there, doing nothing to help. Iron Ochre bacteria clogged their waterproofing system and left a rust-colored trail in its wake, thriving under the wet conditions. They had reached their breaking point. It was time to call for help.
The couple was referred to Dry Guys, whom they called immediately. They were put in contact with System Designer John Mealey, who met them in their home to analyze the problem. The first issue that needed to be addressed was the defective sump pump. This was replaced by our SuperSump, which won't collect debris or get clogged, allowing it to efficiently remove water from the basement. A WaterGuard Perimeter System was installed to catch water from every place it enters and lead it straight to the pump. The mold was properly removed as well by our Certified Mold Remediation Experts.
With these new systems in place, BettyAnn and George have a dry, waterproofed basement, and they are free from the health hazards that are known to accompany mold. Thanks, Dry Guys!
Brad and Jen knew it was time to act when they saw water entering their basement. Recognizing the hazards associated with a moist basement (foundation issues and mold among them), they had to do something about it fast. That's when they called Dry Guys- the region's expert in basements and crawl space waterproofing.
When the couple called Dry Guys, Dan Gattuso gladly came out to meet them and see how we could help. The fix was simple, and yet extremely effective. The powerful SuperSump is capable of pumping 2,250 gallons of water per hour. They had that SuperSump installed in their basement along with the UltraSump III battery backup unit so their basement will stay dry even in a power outage. They also opted for the patented WaterGuard XL perimeter system to collect all water from everywhere in the basement and bring it straight to the SuperSump. The LawnScape Outlet was a nice touch at the end of the buried discharge, as it prevents the pumped water from being dumped right next to the house and just recycling over and over. Lastly, an IceGuard was added to the buried discharge so if the pipe freezes the SuperSump can continue to perform at 100%.
Our patented solutions work hard so that you don't have to. Brad and Jen experience this firsthand every day, and their basement has never been better!
