Basement Wall Restoration in Bridgeton, New Jersey
Challenge
Unaware of the severity of his properties foundation cracks, the homeowner Ben in Bridgeton, NJ, allowed his home’s foundation walls to bow to the point where it partially collapsed into the basement. This created a large gap for animals and rain to enter and left the front door completely inaccessible. In a panic, the homeowner put up tarps to create a barrier from the outside elements, but it was only a matter of time before the rest of the foundation would fall to the same fate. Action needed to be taken or the nightmare of the entire structure collapsing would soon be a reality.
Solution
Ben searched for a solution and he promptly gave us a call in hopes that we could resolve his situation. After clearing out the dirt from the inside of the basement and in front of the house, our crew began repairing the foundation. We built a new cinder block foundation in place of the collapsed wall. We backfilled the dirt and began waterproofing the home. A WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System was installed in the basement to redirect water seepage to the SuperSump Sump Pump and relieve the pressure put on the walls from hydrostatic pressure. This powerful system has a 1/3 horsepower pump with a battery backup and will ensure protection in case of a power outage. The homeowner is glad he chose our professionals to perform his wall restoration. Water no longer enters the basement and Ben in thankful that he found the right company for the job!
