Tools of the Trade

The Old Vent
This old vent was inefficient and constantly trapped debris. It becomes obvious how dirty it is when seen from inside the home.
Preparing to Remove the Old Vent
The crew brings in all the necessary tools to cut out the old vent and install their new Smart Vent.

Kicking Up Dust
The cutting process causes a large amount of dust, but the Dry Guys crew always makes sure to protect your home.
Prepping the Next Vent
The crew gets ready to start with the second of the old vents. Though the vent may look good from outside the home, the inside is probably just as dirty as the previous photo showed.
Measuring Before Cutting
The crew measures to make sure the new hole will accommodate the Smart Vent. All cuts are made perfectly level to make sure the vents look good and work efficiently.
Cutting Out the Second Vent
The second old vent is cut out of the wall just like the first.
Hole in the Wall
The old vents are completely removed, leaving room to install the new, more efficient Smart Vents.
Inside View of Removed Vent
This is a view from inside of the hole after the old vent was removed.
The Old Vent Removed
With the old vent out of the wall, it is easy to see how dirty they can get. This is the same nice looking white vent that was shown a few photos earlier.
Adjusting the Cut
A Dry Guys crew member adjusts the hole for the new vent to make sure it fits perfectly.
Ready for Installation
After more cutting and adjustments, the hole in the wall is ready for the vent installation.
Installation of the Frame
The frame of the Smart Vent is installed in the hole that was previously cut in the wall.
Smart Vent
Smart Vent looks great an works efficiently. It could also help lower your flood insurance premium by up to 80%.
Old Vent from the Outside
The old vent may look fine but does not meet the required standards like Smart Vent. Over time these inefficient vents can actually cause you to pay more in flood insurance premiums.
Smart Vent Installed
This is the Smart Vent as it looks fully installed. Using its smart technology it knows when to open and let water flow through.
